Gathering Data

I have a client that would like essay questions and multiple choice questions in a course. Then they would like to gather the responses from the questions. I have created the module using survey essay question slides and mc slides. I have a result slide for the user but I cannot figure out if the client will be able to gather the actual answers of each user. They will have about 400 students taking the module and want to gather the responses of each user in order to adjust their program. Do they run a report from their LMS that will give them this info? How will they get those answers? By the way, they are using Blackboard as their LMS. Thank you for your help and advice!

Thank you for the help.
