General question about Storyline

We're in the process of deciding between Storyline and Studio for a new project I'm about to start. I'm new to both, but have some past experience with studio. I've read some of the comparison posts and like the sounds of both products. One question I have is: In Storyline are you able to import your own pictures, etc like you can in a ppt-based plug-in product, such as studio? The character packs are very corporate and not necessarily a good fit for our clients.
