Good quality screenshots - how do I get there?

Jul 08, 2014

Hello,

I am building a course to teach how to use a database so.... I was planning to use screenshots (surprise!).

But having tried to used the good old Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Print Screen, I find that the quality of the image once published is not sufficient for users to recognised the parts.

Any advice on how to get a better quality ?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Noemi,

Not sure if you're referring to the fact that (at least back in the day) you don't have granular control over what you can capture...or just the overall quality.

If you're using Windows have One Note installed and running in your system tray area (the area on the right of the Windows taskbar that shows the time), you can right-click and choose Create Screen clipping from the shortuct menu (or you can press the Windows Key + S). This tool allows you to drag a crosshair around the area you wish to capture.

Or, a relatively inexpensive awesome tool is Snagit by TechSmith.
