When opening some slides the notes tab defaults to 7 pt font even though I have reset it to 9 pt many times. This has happened in many different courses and shows up even after the course is on our LMS.
I have noticed that the font changes in Firefox based on whether the story is being viewed in Flash vs. HTML5. If the browser has flash turned off so that SL defaults to HTML5, the font sizes change.
If you mean when I open the file in my computer, yes.
I put all the notes in size 10, Articulate font, then save the project and
the next time I open it and also after I publish it, all the sizes are
different,...some are still 10, but others are 7 (and almost impossible to
view), some are 9. Big mess.
Thanks for responding. Looking forward to any help.
I tried to repair Storyline per your suggestion. The installer is on my
desktop. When I right click, I do not have a Run As Administrator option.
I use this software day in and day out. I don't have problems except for
this font issue and a some strange formatting on quizzes once in a while.
I'm hesitant to do a reinstall even if I could...I don't need any new
issues. That said, if I ever DID want to repair it, I'd like to know why I
don't have the Run As Administrator option. Might you know?

I'm having strange issues with my Notes font (both sizes and types). All the text in my Notes tab is set to Verdana 8px. However, when it is published, some of the text shows up as a different font and larger. I've adjusted every setting I can find to try to change this. I've even copy-pasted the text in and selected the different paste options. Nothing seems to change the problem. I can highlight the entire section and it says it's all Verdana 8px, it just doesn't all display the same.
Another issue occurs when I try to run the Repairs you suggested. I have the "Run as Admin" option, but when the window pops up, the only option I have is to Uninstall. There is no Reinstall option. Any suggestions about that?
In regards to the font issue you're running into, it should all default to the font size and type of the first character in the notes field. Are you seeing it different fonts/sizes within the same slide or on different slides? Each slide could be different and there is no global setting to update them all. You also mentioned you're only seeing it on publish - you'll want to make sure that you're publishing to a local drive and then testing the published output within the intended publish environment instead of locally.
Have you been able to successfully uninstall? And then you could reinstall using the information here.
I'm having the same issue. When i preview the file, the font is 16pt font but when i publish it, it is stripping my hard returns and changing the font size to 9pt. I am writing and publishing locally. How do I fix this?
Would you mind sharing you file (or even just a few slides) so we can try to replicate the issue on our end? If you'd like to share it privately, you can do so by way of this form.
Just wanted to pop in and give you an update that I was able to test your files for Case# 00917570, and I replied to your email. Feel free to reach out if you need anything further!
Hi Aaron, thanks for reaching out. Are you seeing the font size reduction issue while viewing your published output with HTML5? That was the case with Abigail's file. This is a known issue with QA, and unfortunately there isn't a workaround for this. I cannot offer a time frame for when or if this issue will be resolved, but I'll be sure to add updates here as they become available. And since you commented in this thread, you’re now subscribed and will receive an email when something new is posted.

I have this problem as well. Did anyone arrive at a solution?
Hi Barb!
I'm not familiar with an issue related to this.
Are you able to see this in your project file? I would be sure to work locally and you may need to conduct a repair of your software.

If you have articulate 360 this issue has been fixed.
