I have several slides in my course that have multiple layers. I'd like the built-in dropdown Menu to offer shortcuts to each of these layers, rather than just the slide itself. Does anyone know of a way to do this?
I don't believe this is possible. You'll only be able to "call" a slide or scene through the menu, or even slides, scenes and lightboxes though additional custom tabs. Would be interested in seeing a way to do this, though, I can see how it would be useful.
I already have variables for the different slide layers, so if the user goes back to a slide, it 'remembers' what layer they were viewing. If there were a way to trigger a variable change with a Menu click, this could work! I'm guessing not, though.
Good point! I guess it really depends on how and when you want that layer called. You could set up a variable to change once the timeline has completed for the first time, for example, then have that slide display the layer when the timeline starts again (assuming when accessed from a menu) if that variable has been adjusted. That may work - but right off the bat, without any changes using variables or conditions, I'm not sure if it would be possible.
