Having issues with what I think is a "down" state

Jan 04, 2020

Hi everyone,

I am new to Storyline, so forgive me if I am missing something already addressed in the docs or a previous discussion.

Here is what I am trying to achieve:  I have a quiz with an image, and I don't want the colored bar that shows up on hover to extend into the image.

What I have done: I modified the hover state so that the bar only extends to where the quiz image starts (see first screenshot).

Issue I am having: While clicking the answer, the bar extends the full length. When I go into edit the "down" state, I am not able to find the bar to shorten it as I did with the hover state (see second and third screenshot).

I have found a workaround in the meantime by placing a solid white shape on my slide that covers the bars "down" state but remains under the image on the quiz, but the work around causes my bar to apparently lose it's rounded edges for second.

Sorry for the long post, but I would greatly appreciate your thoughts :)

Hello, Jonathan. Welcome to the community, and Storyline!

I'm seeing similar behavior in a test Storyline 360 file. What seemed to help was shortening the bar length in each state.

I created this short video to show you those adjustments and included the sample file below if you'd like to take a closer look. Let me know if that doesn't help; we'll keep digging!
