I hope someone can help a new e-learner. I recently made a couple of projects in Storyline on my old computer. I now have Storyline 2 on a new laptop. When I went into my old projects it asked me if I wanted to convert them to Storyline2. I have done this but now anything with more than one layer is not working. Only the base layer will show. Can anybody help me retrieve all this 'lost' content?
Regarding 'working locally' Articulate has created a file in 'My Documents' on my computer but I copy the files to a Dropbox folder so I that I can share the files with my boss (I work from home). Is this going to cause me problems?
I have tried opening the back up in SL2 but the same thing happens.
I no longer have access to Storyline 1 as these were produced on a free trial.
I can see all the layers but the Triggers to the other layers no longer work. I have tried recreating the triggers but this does not work. (Triggers within the base layer work though).
I am still working from the Dropbox files as I am also on a new computer.
Even though Dropbox can be installed locally, we always recommend saving your files to the C Drive, working from there, and then loading to Dropbox, or other sharing source, just to eliminate any possible issues that could arise.

Hello Laura, and welcome to Heroes!
When you open the files in SL2, it will automatically save a backup SL1 file for you. you can try to reopen that file in SL2
First please make sure you are working locally with these files as described here.
You can also try importing the files into a new Storyline file as described here.
Thanks for the help Emily,

Hi Laura
you should download the file from dropbox, work on it locally, and then upload it when you need to.
I work on all files directly from dropbox, this shouldn't be an issue, dropbox files on your computer are local.
As Phil mentions - Dropbox working is fine, because you are saving to a local folder.
The fact that they then synchronize to a network folder is not an issue.
Thanks SuperHeros I stand corrected

You could also try the repair of Storyline.
