Help sharing Story

Jun 30, 2016

Hello,

I published a story using the web option to HTML5 output. It created a folder with several files in it. When I go into this folder on my own computer I can click the .html file and the course opens up no problem. However, when I share the folder, either over OneDrive or via compressed file emailed to another person, they only get a blank screen when they click the .html file.

What do I need to do to enable her to see the course?

TIA

Hi H P,

Thanks for reaching out to us here! If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you may encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. For instance, if you were to publish for the web you would want to make sure to test it in a web environment.

If you want someone to be able to view the content locally, then Publish for CD will be the option you'll want to use. :)
