Help w/ Triggers

Jan 13, 2022

Hello Storyline users,

I'm working on some triggers and I have a good bit set up. What I'm trying to accomplish is allowing users to click buttons and jump to respective slides. Then, from that slide they jump to, there's a "go back" button with a trigger to take them back to the original slide. However, when they get back, my states aren't being changed to "visited" anymore. Any idea how I can make sure that once they click something, they know they're done? I also have a trigger to make my continue button on the main slide hidden until they visit the other "jump to" slides. Pic attached if it helps.

Thanks!

Hi, SNS.

Thank you for reaching out, and for sharing the screenshot!

When using Built-in states, such as Visited, there's no need to create a trigger to change the object into that state. The logic is all done by Storyline for you.

It looks like you created a custom state called "vvisited" instead. Is there a reason why you're not using the built-in one?

Try removing the highlighted triggers below, and changing the condition for the continue button to "when all the rectangles are visited":

Let me know if this works!
