Help with Review Quiz function_SL3
May 03, 2020
Hello everyone!
I have a question regarding the Review Quiz functionality on a Review slide. Perhaps I am missing on something obvious, but any help or explanation would be much appreciated.
So, the Review slide summarises the results of a 10-item draw from a 15-item question bank (all multiple response), with shuffling enabled and a few questions appearing always.
Each question is read (audio on the timeline), and the user is not allowed to select answers until the audio finishes (there is a transparent blocking shape above the answers).
As I reach the Result slide and click on Review quiz – the following happens.
The 9 first questions from a draw are displayed without audio – for which I am grateful, since I did not even set this up (out of curiosity - any idea why?).
The last reviewed question always has audio and occasionally gets messed-up visually, namely answers (text boxes) overlap in a weird way.
It would be great if the last question did not have the audio and was safe from visual issues.
I created another simple 2-question project and the audio behaviour was also there, oddly enough.
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong / what I am doing wrong?
I have experimented with "when revisiting" options, but it did not change the situation.
I am on Storyline 3, update 8.
Regards,
Wojtek

Hi Wojciech,
Thank you for your response.
Please notice that the same applies to object animations - entry fades on text boxes are disabled on all slides being reviewed but the last one. I have also reasons to believe that the answer shuffling got corrupted on it as well.
What I did was deactivating the answer reshuffling. I also added a T/F variable to the Review quiz button that deactivated audio during review on all slides. Let's just hope the client does not notice a bit of entry fade on one slide.
Keeping fingers crossed for you solving this one. The review feature is a highly useful one (and if only we could customise the inbuilt review visuals).
HI Wojciech,
Thanks for the additional details and for sharing how you worked around it! It sounds like you used a trick similar to what was used in this article for customizing a review layer.
I appreciate you using your creativity until we have more information to share.
Hi, Wojciech.
I have exciting news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 3. In the latest build (3.13.26122.0), we've included important fixes and new features.
One of the fixes we've included is:
Audio on quiz slide before the Result slide plays during quiz review.
To take advantage of this fix, make sure to update Storyline 3!
