Help with tracking process and player buttons

Nov 24, 2015

Dear community members,

I have a couple of queries which I am wondering if you can assist me with

1) The first one is about tracking, I have a piece of e-learning which is only tracking to 93% completion on a clients LMS. I was wondering what checks I need to make in articulate to ensure that the course tracks to 100% completion.?

2) My second problem I am having relates to the player buttons. I have got some quiz slides which I have created using the inbuilt quizzes in articulate. I have also created my own buttons to move back and forth between each page/slide. However, when I press back (and the previous slide is a quiz slide) the previous and next player buttons pop up and appear, although I have disabled them in the slide settings. Is there anyway of stopping this from happening? The only way around I have come up with, is to set the slide to resume its initial state when the learner jumps back to the quiz, but this will give them the opportunity to re-take the question, and I dont want them to be able to do this. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Donna :)

Hi, Donna -- Thanks for your questions! Have you had an opportunity to test your course on the SCORM Cloud to see how it completes in that environment? If you have no issues, it may be best for your client to reach out to their LMS for further assistance. You may also want to share the name of the LMS provider being used, as others in the community may use the same service and could have encountered a similar issue and could share some advice.

Regarding your second question, would you possibly be able to share your file here so that we can take a closer look at how things are set up to better understand what you are describing?

Hi There

Thanks for your response. The LMS system being used is cross knowledge, I am not sure if its one that is well known. There were a total of 26 slides and the track completion was set to 26/26 and it was also set to pass/incomplete.
I tried changing the pass/incomplete to complete/incomplete as there was not a test attached, however the tracking was then 0%
I then noticed that one of the slides was unlikely to be visited by learners so I changed the minimum slides to complete to 25/26 and left the tracking as pass/incomplete and this now tracks to 50%.

So I am now a little confused. If there is not a quiz involved should we use pass/incomplete as the option? Should it not be complete/incomplete? Also am I right in setting the minimum slides to complete as 25/26 if users are possibly not going to always access one of the slides to get it to reach 100%?

In realtion to my second questions, I can try to share the e-learning I created, although for data protection reasons I will have to remove the content, how do I go about sharing some e-learning on here? Which format shall I use to publish? Would it be the LMS and zipped file?

Many Thanks

Donna
