Help with understanding "auto functions" I dont want!

Jan 07, 2020

Hello,

feel like Im missing something. Im in the end of testing a course and one tester discovered that if they wait long enough the functions required to get on with the course cant be performed. Eg. participant is required to click on a picture to move on, but after a certain wait the pic aint clickable anymore. To solve this problem I tried setting objects av "show always" but that didnt help. What I now also can see in some slides and layers is that the player moves on to the next layer automatically - even though triggers are set to do this only when you click a certain object. What am I missing here? Can i extend the timeline indefinite somehow?

Thanks / Thomas

Hello Thomas and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Thanks for explaining what your participants are experiencing as well as what you were able to identify in your testing.

I'm curious if the slide properties are set to advance automatically?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hi again,

I just uploaded the file for you to have a look.

No I cant see that there is any auto-advances active, at least not on the slides Ive been starting to try to figure this out.

I have been trying to get the problem fixed on the first interaction, where you are sopposed to click the little button with the red cross in the beginning of the training.

Thanks!
