I've created a slide with 3 colored icons (pictures) for the user to click on before the Next button will appear and created visited states for the 3 images but the Next button doesn't appear. I've set the slide to "resume saved state" and I just can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've attached the zip file. Help please.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing in your project file.
Do you have a trigger set up to adjust the state of the Next button when the images are visited?
I'd be happy to take a look at your project file (you've attached the zipped published output) to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Your first trigger on slide 2.1 sets the Next button to hidden when the timeline starts. Whenever the user visits a different slide and comes back to slide 2.1, that's the action that always happens, so you need to tell Storyline to do a different action once those slides are visited.
The change I made as a suggestion to your file (attached here) is to add a trigger that will turn the Next button to normal when the timeline starts, with the conditions of Pictures 4, 5, and 6 having their states as visited.
Thanks Maria, but it's not working in the source file you edited either. See the screenshot below, you can see that all 3 icons (pictures) are in the "Visited" state, but the Next button did NOT appear on the player.

My apologies! When I took the screenshot above, I moved the trigger to the top, when it should be under the trigger that turns the Next button to Hidden. The order of triggers is essential in Storyline.

Thank you, Maria! I was having issues with the Next button becoming Normal after visiting three additional slides. Your direction was very helpful!
