Hidden trigger to stay on page after it appears and time line ends

Jan 30, 2024

Hi all,

I have a next and previous button that I have hidden until the timeline ends or voice over has read the page. We want the user to listen and read the page without being able to skip. (They will skip through without learning just to get it finished) However, the trigger disappears after the timeline ends and this is an issue if the user walks away to help a customer or answers the phone. How can I get it to stay on the page once everything ends?

You have triggers that hide those buttons when their timeline ends. That's why they disappear.

You could set the Initial State of your custom Next button to Hidden. Then use a trigger that changes it to Normal when the timeline of the slide ends.

FYI: This post has info about how to control the NEXT button. The same basic concepts work for controlling custom navigation buttons: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/tip-controlling-the-next-button-101
