Hide Base Layer Not Functioning Properly

Jun 15, 2020

I've got a weird issue happening with one of my projects not fully hiding objects from the base layer. There are six photos on the base layer, which link to six slide layers.

I've edited the slide properties for each of the six layers to not show objects on the base layer. I've also gone in and double checked the timeline (for the base layer) on each individual slide layer to make sure that no rogue objects on the base layer are visible.

However, when I click on a photo from the base layer to take me to the corresponding slide layer, that photo somehow stays visible on the slide layer it is supposed to link to.

What on earth is happening? This is a really simple interaction which I've used multiple times...it's never happened before, that the photos continue to show through when I've done everything I know to do to make them invisible. I'm going nuts over something which I feel like should be really easy...

I've included a photo of what's happening, as well as just the story file for this one slide. I hope it's something silly and simple I've just overlooked...

Please advise! Thanks in advance.

That's a really strange problem. I would recommend contacting support over this issue as there doesn't appear to be any issue with the way the interaction has been put together.

If it is holding you up with development, I would recommend build the again.

Also, not sure if you are aware, but you don't have to set a button state to Visited, it will use this state automatically.

It's the Set state to Hover trigger. All the built-in states have built-in triggers that change their states. When you write another trigger to do the same action, you create the potential for conflicts, which can have spectacular, but seldom useful results. In the present case, your trigger doesn't recognize that the cursor to have left when the layer shows, the way the built-in one does. So it keeps the hover state showing.
