Thank you for reaching out!

The Hidden state already exists in Storyline, so you don't have to create it as a custom state.

When you add your trigger, just choose it from one of the options. See below:

If you created a custom state called Hidden, I would recommend deleting it, or it might confuse Storyline.

I have a slide with two photos.  I have grouped each photo with text so the viewer can click on either to go to the next layer.  In my timeline on the layers I have hidden the group I would not like to show on the timeline but it is still showing when I go to the layer and when I preview.  I have checked the background fill and other suggestions above but can't seem to figure out why they won't hide.
