Hide object when unselected
Jan 27, 2016
Hi, I am trying to figure out how to get an object to disappear if its trigger object is deselcted. I have a checkbox that when selected triggers a state change in another object (it goes from the initial state, hidden, to a displayed state). That works fine, but I would like for that object to disappear if the trigger object is then deselected or if anther checkbox is selected. I know I have seen this done in a tutorial, but I cannot find it again.
Thank you!

Hi Jennifer
setting your checkboxes up as a button set may achieve what you are after.
Select all the checkboxes at once then right click and choose the button set option.
Hope that helps and I've understood what you mean.
Thanks for your quick response Wendy! Actually, I want the state to revert back to hidden when the trigger object, either button or checkbox, is deselected or when a different button or checkbox is selected. I did not see how to achieve that using a button.
Can you upload your story file Jennifer, easier to help if we can see your setup
Sure! I am working on slide 1.13. That's where the checkbox section begins.
Thanks!
Hi Jennifer
I added a button set and two triggers to slide 1.13.
Uploading just that slide.
Oh my gosh, that was so obvious and easy! Thank you for showing me.
Glad it worked for you Jennifer - good luck with your project.
