Greetings! How do I use variables to control whether an object on a slide is shown or hidden? I know how to do this in other products but haven't figured it out in Storyline. Does Storyline's variable and trigger capability has that level of control?

You can acheive this with states.
You can change the state by triggers:
So, for example, if the exclusion image above defaults to hidden, I can set a trigger to change its starte to Normal when an item is clicked:
or when any number of criteia are met
