hosting artiuclate storyline learning object

Apr 10, 2014

I have produced a few storlyine inter-active videos and they have been linked from Blackboard to our media server.

I will be producing a big project and my boss wants to know where this can be hosted. Can Storyline be hosted in Kaltura, our media server or both and does it need somewhere that can read all the files attached to it?? kind of lost on this(in other words, what does it need to play successfully?)

Thanks

Hi Mikki,

I'm not familiar with Kaltura, but you'll want to include all the files within the published output folder wherever you'll host it. There are a few server options listed in this article and you could host it there and then link to your media server. Additionally, the system requirements for Storyline viewing are detailed here.

Like Mikki, I'm trying to determine whether I can use Kaltura to host my articulate storyline 2 files. I'm going to reach out to Kaltura, but was wondering if anyone here had experience using Kaltura. I have to use a solution approved by IT security and Kaltura was recently blessed as our new streaming video server. Our internal sharepoint rejects my storyline files because of some odd characters. IT security nixed Google Drive so I have to get my files off of there.

I'm not seeing a lot of information regarding Kaltura to assist you or link to other threads Colleen. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist.

I'm not sure if the users on this thread are still subscribed either, since it's a bit dated, but you are welcome to reach out to them directly via the Contact Me option on their user profile if needed.
