I have encountered an unexpected problem: the file I was working on displays perfectly in Storyline Preview, but absolutely refuses to function in a browser when exported. Sticky feature: Hot Spots. I have 9 of them, and they all function in preview and none of them does anything in any browser. Thoughts?
Dozens of possibilities come to mind. If you could attach your .story file here using the ADD ATTACHMENT button, someone could probably make a suggestion that is specific to your case, and save you a lot of time sifting through irrelevant answers.
It's also worth checking that you're testing the content once published by uploading it to your server or LMS. Testing the published output locally could cause odd behavior or elements to not work correctly.
If you're still running into issues, we'd love to take a look at your .story file as Walt mentioned.
Thanks so much for sharing your file here. I published it using the settings you last published with, and uploaded it to Tempshare to test it out in a web environment. The hotspots all appear to function as designed when I check it out in Chrome. When you have a moment, please take a look at here and let me know if you're still seeing that issue. If so, what browser are you viewing it in? Thanks again!
Thanks for letting me know that worked for you, Darya! When you were testing your file, where were you uploading the published output to before viewing it?

Ok, please, see the attached file. It works fine in preview, but when published and uploaded to the server, none of the hotspots work.
thank you very much for your help.

yes, they all work. Mystery. I was also using Chrome.

To our FTP server.
Great Darya, thanks for the information! Just to verify, are you following the instructions here to upload it to your FTP?
