Hotspot - Screen reader and Tab interaction

Hi all, 

I hope someone can help with this. I have tried to test my current project with Narrator and using a Tab interaction (in Preview, I have not published the project yet). However, when I am on Preview, the hotspot that I have included in the project is not recognised by Narrator or the Tab key. 

I wonder how I go about and fix this?

Thanks for reaching out!

You'll need to do the following to make sure that your Hotspots are recognized by the screen reader and tab key: 

  • Make sure that the hotspot is included in the focus order
  • Associate the hotspot with a trigger to make it interactive
  • Make sure that the 'Object is visible to accessibility tools' option is checked. 

  • Make sure that you are using a supported screen reader (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack)

I've attached a sample project file which contains a hotspot that I can confirm was able to be detected by NVDA screen reader. 

Let me know if you are able to tab to it using my file!
