I have a hotspot quizzing slide built into a Storyline course. On the Results slide, I have a button to retry the quiz. However, when the button is clicked, and the learner returns to the hotspot slide, the submit button is no longer there. Instead, there are next and previous buttons. Please help! I can't figure this out.
I have set the hotspot slide to reset to initial state when you revisit.
The retry quiz button has 2 triggers: (1) reset quiz results (2) jump to slide that starts the quiz.
I have just had this issue and 'automatically decide didn't help. It seems that I had only put the 'retry quiz' option on the failure slide as I didn't want it on for the 'success' slide. By cutting it from the base layer it knocked out the 'allow user to retry quiz' option from the result slide settings. I ended up ticking 'allow user to retry quiz' on the results slide settings which puts the button on all layers then just obscuring the button under a box on the success layer. Instant fix after tearing my hair out for a day
Glad you found a fix, Kevin and hopefully you've got some hair left! If you stumble upon any other hair pulling problems, please let us know. Hi Jenna
try changing the revisit option to 'automatically decide' - see attached sample file.
Hi Jenna - looks like Wendy has popped in to assist here, but feel free to share your .story file if you need us to take a look.
