Hotspot states conditionning next button
Jun 01, 2018
Hi,
I use Articulate Storyline 2
I have a slide with the next button with initial state Disable. (on Base Layer)
On the same slide have 10 hotspots. Each hotspot open a different layer with one or several demonstrations (video, audio..).
When user has seen the demo the hotspot become green (state=visited2)
Before jumping to the next slide the user must have seen all demonstrations.
I set a Trigger to the next button: Change state of button_next to state Normal when State all of hotspots_0 to hotspot_9 are "visited2".
When I preview the Project, the next button become active when at least one hotspot is green and not all of them.
Does anyone can help me ?
Thank you

Hi Sophie!
I'm happy to dive into this with you. Are you using shapes as "hotspots"? Do these shapes all have visited states?
It sounds like you're heading down the right track, and you may need just a few tweaks to your triggers.
I'd love to take a look at your file if you don't mind sharing it with me!
Hi Alyssa,
Thank you for your help!
I tried to share it with you but the link you provided does not work.
Hi Sophie!

Hi Alyssa,
Thank you for your reply,
The training is quite heavy so I have cleaned it and extracted 3 slides only.
Hi Sophie,
Unfortunately that link lead me to a "File not found" error. Any chance you could directly attach the file to this form? It'll be sent directly to me.
Hi Alyssa,
Both files are uploaded in your server.

Thanks, Sophie. I've got it! I'll reach out to you in your case once I've tested it and have more to share.
Hi there Sophie!
I tested your file, and everything appeared to work correctly for me. Have a look at the link I sent to you in your case, and let me know how it behaves in your testing. Thanks!
