basically I would like to have a marker, i.e. a popup that displays a caption when you hover over it and expands to show more text and an image when you click.
However, instead of the available round marker shape, I would like to use a free-form hotspot or other button. Of course it would be possible to fade a layer in and out, in that case, you wouldn't that nice expanding/collapsing feature, though.

I'm having a little trouble trying to visualize what you want to do - can you explain what you are trying to achieve?

Hi Jan, sorry the marker is not editable and you cannot trigger a marker. The best solution is the one you describe
