Hover state

Jun 22, 2022

I hope you can help me.  I have set up am interaction so when the learner hovers overs picture some text appears.  So far so good.

I have a Next button which is hidden and which I want to change to normal when the learner has hovered over all pictures, but I cant figure this out.  Im asking as I'm always trying to find a workaround.

Is there a simple way to do this for a novice?

Hi Gail,

One way to do that is by using True/False Variables. I've attached an example file for you. In the example, I have objects that show text when they are hovered over. I have created t/f variables for each of my objects, with a default value of false. I then created triggers to change the variables to true when the objects are hovered over. My next buttons (I have one on my slide and the other is the player's next button) are hidden. I have triggers to change their state at the end of the timeline if the condition is met that each of my variables are true.

If you haven't worked with variables before, that might sound complex but you can do it! Here are a couple of webinars that are helpful:

Hope that helps! If you have any questions, please let us know!
