is there a way to deactivate the hover state of the player buttons? I don't need them and they often get in the way of custom build buttons or interactive objects on the slides (see attached image).
You can't edit the states of buttons in the Player.
What's shown in the image are the accessibility tips. I don't think there's a way to turn them off. However, they only appear when the user is hovering over the Player button. All they have to do is move their mouse to make them go away.

Just click on the object you want to remove the Hover state from. Then click on States panel and remove it. T
