Hoverovers for Glossary items are backwards

May 14, 2020

When using the glossary in the Classic player, the terms have no hoverover, but the definitions do.  Backwards.  Would be nice if the definitions also were indented too.

FYI, I submitted a feature request/bug report for this and didn't hear back.

Hi Bill!

I tried to recreate this on my end, and didn't see the same outcome! I'd like to confirm this is not what you're seeing on your end.

I'm using Storyline 360 Update 39 (Build 3.39.22088.0).

In this gif, you'll see that I hover over the term Hello. Then I move to the definition Greeting. Hello is in the Selected state when I click on it. Greeting doesn't change states when I click on it.

See how the cursor turned into the pointer (little hand with index finger extended) when you hovered over "Greeting" and changed back to the default arrow when over "Hello"?  That's backwards.

See my attached example.  The cursor should be a pointer (little hand with index finger extended) when you hover over one of the terms and then revert back to the default arrow cursor when hovering over the definition.  See how the cursor changes to a pointer for the hyperlink?  The terms are also hyperlinks of a sort, and should also get the same treatment.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for sharing those details with us!

I created a sample course on my side and I am showing the same behavior when using the classic player. The mouseover doesn’t change for the glossary terms as shown here

From here, I’m going to bring this to my team so we can begin looking at the next steps. We will be sure to reach out as soon as we have more details to share!
