I understand how to insert a new quiz question. But it places it on a blank slide. How do I then get that quiz question and its corresponding triggers into my existing design?
In Storyline, quiz questions have their own master slides which may be why you're seeing them inserted on blank slides. I recommend going to View --> Slide master and then looking for the two question layouts (if you've customized the built-in slide master set). You can add your design to that master and when you add a new question it should use that master.
You should also be able to apply one of your existing master layouts to the inserted question using the Layout drop-down on the Home tab (not in the slide master view).
