I have designed a slide such that the SWF loaded in it is been controlled by the single Play/Pause button. But then I have found that the play/pause functionality is working fine on the button and also on the video as well. Could anyone suggest me a apt solution for this?
I'm not sure that I'm following your question. What are you seeking a solution for? You mentioned designing a slide with a button, and that it's working, so I'm not following.

Unless you are referring to the seekbar with the play/pause button being on the same slide as your video?
You can turn the seekbar off if you wish. Check out this tutorial.
