Slide Layers won't pause when replayed

I have screens that have multiple slide layers consisting of a single video for the entirety of each layer. I have noticed that when I go to replay those slide layers again the progress on the seek bar isn't visible unless I hit the play/pause button, then it makes it visible. However besides that, the play/pause button has no other functionality. It will not allow you to pause it.
Please let me know if any of you have run into this issue and if you have come up with a solution.

Hi Steve,
I experienced a similar problem recently. My solution was to put the video on the base slide, not the layer. This allowed the video to resume which was my problem. Perhaps this will solve the issue.
Cheers,
Julie
Hi Julie,
The issue I am having is that both the base layer and the slide layers have videos that fill the timeline. So on the base layer a video plays and then at the end the user chooses a button to activate each slide layer, each with a different video that plays within it.

Hi Steve,
So what I think you may have to do is put those videos that are currently on a layer onto their own slide.

Julie
Hi Steve,
Have you set the slide layers to "allow seeking" as that should separate it from the base slide layer in terms of how the user navigates throughout the slide/course. You'll also want to ensure that you haven't enabled the video controls as doing so will disassociate the video timeline with the seekbar and therefore they won't be synced to play together.
Julie - I'm thinking that may be the way to go, thanks.
Ashley - I tried "allow seeking", it didn't really make a difference. I've attached a version of the screen with all of the same functionality if you'd like to take a look at it.
Let us know if it works!
Hi Steve,
If you responded via email it doesn't include attachments here, so you'll want to visit this forum thread to upload the .story file for us to take a look at.
Here is the file, thanks for the tip Ashley
Thanks Steve for sharing your file. Did this one previously include audio or video? I wonder because I'm still seeing the behavior you mentioned without those elements and after taking a look at it, it seemed similar to the set up here that we did report to our QA Team for additional review. You can see David's final response here in terms of the workarounds he looked at adding:

I think I may have a resolution, inspired by this article.
I have briefly explained what I've done for my project here.
