Hope you can help: I have a storyline software demo I need to embed on a slide in my presentation. I have various layers to go with the timings in the demo already set on the slide. But, how do I get the demo onto the slide?
Did you record the demo in Storyline using the screen recording feature? If so, you can insert as a video on a single slide and then allow your slide layers to show on top of that based on your already set up timings.
If i'm misunderstanding what you're looking to accomplish, could you share a bit more information with us here?
This is exactly what I'm doing, Ashley. Unfortunately, I did it in another storyline file. Now, When I try to insert as a video, it doesn't recognize the format.
If I re-record it (from the correct .story file) using the Record Screen feature, how do I embed it in the slide?
If you're seeing an error message when attempting either of the above, could you share it here? Also if you'd like I can take a look at the .story file if you'd upload using the "add attachment" button at the bottom of the reply window.
For future reference, for anyone attempting to do this, try B. Export the screen recording as a video file, and insert that directly into your new file.

If you've got the screen recording in a file you could:
A. Import that existing file into your new file to also bring in the screen recording.
B. Export the screen recording as a video file, and insert that directly into your new file.

That was how I'd done it in the past!!!
I'll give that a try & report back here... I'm sure others will need this as well.
