I am trying to get the 'Next' button to show the next layer as oppose to slide.
I don't really want to have hotspots or buttons as I don't think they'll be successful - ideally I want my user to click 'Next' and it shows layer 1, then they click 'Next' again and it shows layer 2 and then they click 'Next' again which would THEN take them to the next slide...
Is there any way of doing this without disabling the next button?
You would need to hide/disable the next button if you don't want the user to be seeing it on the initial slide's base layer as in the example here. For the next button only to work on specific layers, there does need to be some type of condition or element that is telling it which layer and when to go there.

Hi Luke! Strange enough, second time I've had this question today :)
