I am trying to make a presentation in which all the speaker information can be see by clicking\hovering over areas of the slide and having layers appear.
The technical aspect is simple the problem is trying to indicate which areas are intractable, does any one have any experience in making areas clearly hotspots with out being overly intrusive?
I have that down its more the showing to the audience "Hey stick your mouse here" part of the interaction that am struggling with. I need a way to show that the area can be interacted with

I would just create shapes, then Format > Transparency, and set it to something that suits your needs.
Then add Triggers When user clicks on > Shape 1...Shape 2....Shape 3 and so on.
Hope that helps.

I use storyline so this would be a few option i would use.
1. use a marker with an arrow or icon
2. insert an arrow that appears then disappears
3. use a shape with just the boarder and no fill have it appear after a few second or when there is no activity on the slide
4. let ppl know in advance to look for more with instructions at the beginning.
