I have used the tutorials to create a variable. I have used the tutorials and have created a variable set to 0 and then created triggers where the learner can retry the test twice before the retry button is deactivated. When I open my published quiz the button doesn't allow me to retry it at all. I've spent hours on this today and am frustrated.

Please use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box and you can upload from there.
You may also want to ensure you are testing your course in the intended environment, as well. :)

Are you following the instructions here and utilizing the built in retry quiz button on the results slide?
Do you have a .story file we could take a look at?
