How to make a common quiz result page

Jan 24, 2013

Hello,

I have built a quiz project with five paths in parallel, each represented by a question pool and a results page. Hence, I got five different question pools and the user selects one of them. I want to SCORM report whatever question path the user selects, but it seems I must select one of the result pages when publishing. OK, so I figured I can build a common results page. But I don't know how to assign the variable values of the results page (question path) to the corresponding values of the common results page (which I use for SCORM reporting). Any ideas someone?

Hi Anders,

You can find the variables in question by clicking the variable button 'X' at the base of the trigger panel. Each result slide usually generates four variables by default i.e. Results.PassPercent, Results.PassPoints, Results.ScorePercent, Results.ScorePoints (and the variables for the second result slide will be Results1.PassPercent, Results2.PassPoints, and so forth). Assuming you have five result slides, you will see five sets of these variables. You ought to be able to insert references to these variables on the common results page.

Hi Anders. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

If I'm understanding what you'd like to do, you'd like to have one results slide for all of your quizzes. Is that right?

If so, take a look at this article. There's some helpful information in the article as well as some screencasts that may help you with accomplishing this.

You may also want to take a look at the tutorial on Inserting References to Variables.

Hopefully that information will get you started. I'm sure others will be able to provide some additional suggestions for you, too!

Good luck!

Thanks for your replies. I would like the common results slide to pick up the quiz result from whatever quiz path the user selects. In other words, I want to copy the four variable values of whatever results page the user chooses to end up on, to the corresponding variable values of the common results page. The idea is to use the results data of the common tesults page  to report SCORM data to the LMS, since I have to select one results page for the publish settings.

Please note, it's the SCORM data (quiz results) reporting that is my issue, not presenting the results to the user.

Any help is really appreciated.

guess my question could be rephrased like this:

Is there some way the quiz results slide variables can be adjusted, other than completing the corresponding quiz?

As described above, I need to assign the quiz results variable values of one quiz result slide to the variables of another quiz results slide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning Anders,

I apologize for the delay. I'm not aware of a method for pulling the result variables into a single results slide, depending on the path a student takes.

Maybe someone that's worked a little more with SCORM can give you some suggestions. You may want to post over in the Building Better Courses section as well, just to get some additional exposure and maybe some helpful feedback from other community Heroes.

Good luck on the project!
