How to prevent Image compression
Sep 03, 2021
Hi team, I've just received an image from our design team and when I load it and preview the slide, the image appears to be overly compressed. However when I look at the original, zoomed to the same size, it looks fine. The image was made to the exact dimensions of the slide.
Looking through the online docs, I found that there is a setting in the Publish options under Properties > Quality where I moved the image quality slider to 100%, however, this hasn't resolved the problem. Probably because I can't actually save that setting - I can only Publish or Cancel. I am not ready to publish, so how can I save the image quality setting to get a good preview of how it will look?
Do you know how I can have images appear as they were in their original form in Storyline?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jamie,
I appreciate you sharing what you are experiencing with your image. Would you be able to share a single slide in a project of the correct dimensions and with this image included so that we could take a closer look? Please share with our support team directly here.
Thanks Leslie, I'm uploading it now :)
Hi, Jamie.
I have great news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 63, we’ve included important fixes and new features.
One of the fixes we’ve included is:
We improved how Storyline 360 handles images during import and in the published output, resulting in crisper images.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
