how to remove controller area on player even if no next/prev?

I have a slide with no controls selected or present - next/prev, seekbar, etc. The area at the bottom of the player still appears despite that. Other slides in the story have some or all of the controls showing.

I can't seem to find how to remove that bottom control area for just the one slide - is that possible? Thank you.
