HTML only?

Hi! I'm an HTML noob, and have been asked to update a years-old splash screen users see when they access our LMS for the first time. I've made the changes, but at the last moment I realized I might be able to use Storyline to make it a bit more visually appealing.
My question: Is there a way for me to use Storyline to produce a single page of very basic content without a player?
I'd just like to go beyond the basic HTML text and header options I know how to do manually.
Thanks!
Jason

Hi Jason,
Yes, you can disable navigation buttons on your slide, untick every feature from the player, change border color and get a single page animation.
Jason, while you may be able to do this, you may not want to, at least not without a lot of careful testing. Storyline is still heavily Flash dependent for many features, including accessibility. If your users have Flash turned off then they might have difficulty seeing your content, especially if they are using assistive technologies.
Would that still be the case if I kept the content relatively simple? I'm just talking about adding some color and formatting improvements to the bare-bones HTML we currently have, and I'm not quite sure how integrated the Flash components are.
Thanks for the info!
Storyline isn't accessible unless you use the Flash version. See the link below and scroll down to the section Accessibility. This means your visually disabled users, who depend on ALT text, won't see anything at all on your splash page if they have Flash disabled. Since the splash screen is your entry point to your entire site, you typically want it to be as accessible as possible.

Thanks for the link, Sharon. That makes a lot of sense!
