Hi all,
im having trouble with some hyperlinks, linking to pdfs. Most of my hyperlinks to Pdf do work, but sometimes they dont work, if i try it 3 min later, it will work. Other Hyperlinks start after 10 sec.
I checked the names of the pdf (no german ö,ä,ü... and no space between the letters) The size of the PDFs are not bigger than 4 mb most of them are just 500 kb or less.
How did I link to pdfs? I put e.g. an unvisible triangle over a text passage or graphic and link it to pdfs. All in all i have about 30 PDfs linked and about 150 sites.
THx for your help!

Hi Ben, welcome to the community!
Your description suggests that the problem with links not working intermittently may be a server problem. To troubleshoot, I would upload the published project to some other location, e.g. DropBox or GoogleDrive and see if the problem persists. I would also try to launch the course from a different device and/or Internet connection, just to eliminate those as possible sources.
Ich hoffe das hilft bei der Fehlersuche
Hi Ben and welcome to Heroes!
I'd agree with Michael here, you'll want to test your Storyline published course by loading it to the intended publish environment. If you're not able to load it yet to your web server or LMS the suggestions Michael shared are a great start, and there are some additional web options in this article.
Hallo and thx for your fast reply,
i dont think its a server problem because i published it on my pc and and usb-stick and still got the problems.
Do you guys have a minute to look at the the storyline file and maybe tell me whats the problem?
Thx
Hi Ben,
We're always happy to take a look at your .story file and you can either share it here with us in the forums by using the paperclip icon to attach it here. You mention publishing to your PC and to a USB, and you'll want to make sure that you always publish the files to your local drive (even if you're publishing for CD or another local source) and then once you've published you will want to upload the course to the intended environment as if you view on the local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
If the file is too large to share here or you'd prefer to share privately, you can send it here to our team or send me a private message with a link to download it (from a public Dropbox folder or a site such as WeTransfer.com).
