Ideas for an ineractive exercise

May 26, 2023

Hello, everybody.

I am new to Storyline, but instead of just following through a course from scratch, I thought of building an exercise right away.

My idea was to build an interactive exercise (with video, or animation) teaching how to wrap a bandage in your hands for boxing, inspired by the following video:

I was hoping for ideas of where to start. Should I use animations? Motion? Drag and drop?

Anything might be helpful

First thing that would come to my mind, would be using a slider that changes the state of an image.

Given you have high-quality images (illustrations or photos), this would make each step easier to follow than it would be in a video. If each step contains multiple sub-steps, you could also use animations for each state. But generally speaking, less is more in my opinion.

What makes the difference in an exercise like that is the quality of images you have. if you do not have an illustrator by hand, the simplest thing would be to take pictures of each step (for example in front of a white background). Take care of lighting and make sure to ajust each picture, so that there is as little variaton in position and scale between the images as possible.
