Image button states challenges

Jan 07, 2016

Hi all!

I'm trying to create buttons from images with three states: Normal, Hover and Visited. Each "button" is a shape with an image. I want the image to grey out in the visited state. It looks like it is greyed out in the edit states panel, but doesn't grey out during preview.

In the attached .story file, the first slide does what I want, but slides 2 and 3 do not. The visited state does not grey out the images, though it does toggle to Visited because the outer circle border changes.

I'm stymied.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Looking at your presentation I noticed that the buttons that don't work have the shape set to "no fill." I think that the problem is due to the no fill attribute.

Try placing your picture in the shape as a picture fill, or use a solid fill as you did in the shapes that work. Then your states should show correctly. When I changed the states to include a fill, the states worked fine.
