Image quality suggestions...
Jun 05, 2017
I have a rather large (long) image that is a screencapture of about 7 pages. When I view the image on it's own, the quality is great. But the moment I drop it into Storyline, it auto shrinks it. Then when I try to make the image bigger, the quality becomes blurry and not readable. Ultimately I want to drop this into a scrolling panel, but can only do that if the image is readable. Image quality suggestions, please :)

I'm able to duplicate this in Storyline 3. My 8000 pixel wide image was resized by Storyline to 2048 pixels wide. There may be a limitation on image size.
That's what I'm thinking. My workaround was to save it at multiple images...then add them to the scrolling panel. Not ideal, but better than nothing!
Thanks for looking into this!
I agree that's probably the best solution for now, unless someone else posts a better idea.
Hi Lindsay
Here is a link to KB article about image size - it's for SL1 but hasn't changed for all other versions
Thank you -- that's good information! And definitely explains why I've run into the issue.
I have worked around this limitation by creating an html page that shows the image and insert it as a Web Object. The Web Object will automatically get scroll bars so you can scroll through the image.
The code of the html page is fairly simple and can be edited using notepad.
I have zipped up a sample story file and WebObject to share.
Awesome, thank you!!!
