Image Zoom on iPad problem

Feb 07, 2013

I have created a story have several screenshots throuhgout.  Each of them has the "Zoom Picture" because I shrank the pics down to fit on the slide.

When I publish, the zoom feature works great.  The little magnifying glass icon is there.  You click the pic and it zooms out and then back again when you click it a second time.

However, on the iPad, when you click a pic it zooms out, but you can't get it to zoom back.  You also can't click anywhere else as the zoomed image takes up most of the screen.

Any ideas?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for getting back to me! Have you had a chance to make sure that Private Browsing is disabled in Safari?

You may find that Storyline's HTML5 output doesn't load as expected in Safari if the Private Browsing feature is enabled.

This is a known issue. To correct it, turn off Private Browsing while you're viewing your Storyline content. Here's how.

If the zoom feature still doesn't function properly, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what's happening.

Thanks!

Good morning Nick,

I was able to find Brian's case and it looks like we were able to reproduce the issue. Our Quality Assurance department is currently working on this issue. Hopefully we'll be able to find a fix for this.

In the meantime, maybe you could try the workaround that our support team shared with Brian:

  • Use layers instead to simulate the effect of the "Zoom Picture" tool. This is a little time-consuming, but it works on iPad and the PC as well.

If you'd like to share your file with us, so we can confirm you're seeing the same issue being tracked by our QA team, feel free to submit your files

Thanks, Nick!
