I'm having a similar problem. The images I'm using are not blurry in the published file. However, when I upload the file to the LMS, the images are blurry. I have optimized the image quality. Because this is a software simulation, I really need to have the player scale to fill the browser window. Similarly, I am unable to crop the image as the complete image is needed for training purposes. I'm a bit flummoxed as this module is part of a package. I've already published over 20 similar modules to the LMS without problems.
I've attached screen grabs of an image from a published (but not uploaded) file and another from a file that's been uploaded to the LMS.
I'd greatly appreciate any assistance you are able to provide.
Are the images scaled in the module? If they have been made smaller to fit into the eLearning course they will look blurry when the course is uploaded to an LMS.
I am currently trying to work out a solution for this and I suspect that I need to take the screenshots at the correct size to be inserted into the eLearning course which may mean that I have to increase the overall project size to fit them in.
Yes, my images are scaled. However, I've produced approximately 30 other modules using the same procedure and all are displaying the images well. I'm very perplexed as to why this one is different. I guess taking the images at the correct size is an option, although I'm not sure that I know how to get that kind of exactitude when scaling the software app.
That is interesting...I would be interested to know what the difference is with this latest module.
I'm going to have to go back through about 8 module and re-take the screenshots at the correct size and I have created a frame that is the correct size and then fir the app in there before taking the screenshot. Because the app I'm capturing is java based it won't scale at the standard size so I am thinking I will have to change the overall project size to fit larger screenshots.
I'd be really interested in hearing any other ideas anyone might have before undertaking this task.
There really isn't any significant difference in the type of content in this module compared to the previous modules. It's the same software app, just a different function.
Thanks for the idea of creating a frame. That's a good idea.
I too would greatly appreciate ideas from others in the community.

Hi Louis,
I'd start with the best practices here to confirm if the image is scaling upon publish - as that will lead to a blurry image.
Let us know if you're still having difficulty, and we'll be happy to take a look!

Hi Lynn,
My courses are also software emulation...
