Implementing translated xliff file to the Articulate course

Sep 27, 2022

Dear Articulate team,

I am facing a problem in implementing translated xliff file to the Articulate course.

We have exported the xliff file from the original course and have it translated into the Chinese language. Then realized that we can't upload the translated xliff file. It has been translated from English to the Chinese language.

Do you have any process to do so? Does Articulate 360 support importing translation from xliff file?

I am looking forward to your kind support.

Best regards,

Letizia

Hi Letiza,

Thanks so much for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble implementing your XLIFF files into your course. Happy to help!

I have some clarifying questions in order to understand further:

  • Does the same issue happen with the XLIFF File when importing your project into a new project?
  • Are you using the most recent version of Storyline 360? (Build 3.68.28820.0)

If that is the case, I recommend updating Storyline 360 to the latest version. Here's how:

Update Authoring Apps

This article below will help you fix an unsupported XLIFF file if something within the file is not reading properly within Storyline:

Storyline 360 and Studio 360: How to Fix an Unsupported XLIFF Version Error

If you are still having trouble, we'd be happy to have our Support Engineers take a look at your project file and XLIFF Chinese Language file in order to better assist you within a support case.

Hope you have a great start to your week! ✨

Thank you so much dear Luciana.

We have updated the Storyline 360 with the most recent version (Build 3.68.28820.0)

Something is wrong with the XLIFF file. Kindly noticed we have submitted our Articulate  Case # 03377299.

Please if your Support Engineers can help us would be highly appreciated.

Have a nice day!
