Hi James. That file growth does seem a bit much. Can you share your original .PPT file with us here? We'd love to have a look at what's going on. It would be helpful for you to include your PowerPoint version and Storyline version. Thanks!
Hi all, I am having this issue as well. I just started a new discussion where I'm attempting to upload the Storyline file. It hadn't occurred to me that it might have something to do with the fact that I imported a PPT.
Hi Crystal, due to client confidentiality I cannot post this publicly, but had raised a support call as well. I got kind of a weak answer saying it was to do with the image resolution. This was weird given the source file was only 8mb, so I am none the wiser still.
Hey James, in the other thread I opened, the support staff suggested opening a new Storyline file, making the story size the same as your old one, then importing the large story file into the new one. This apparently gets rid of unused assets that are being cached?
I have not had time to test it out this morning but I thought I would pass it along.

Thanks John. Tried that, didn't do anything unfortunately. It must be the way Storyline imports images from PowerPoint
