I'm using Storyline on a trial basis and after going through the tutorials decided to create my own project. However, when the new blank slide is created and I attempt to insert anything, the only functioning button is record. The rest are all nonfunctional. Please help! I must be doing something wrong
Do you have Storyline installed on, and are you working on a local drive? When creating, editing, or publishing a Storyline project, be sure you're working from your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working from a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes you've made to your project, and loss of resources.
If so, and you're still having trouble, you may want to try running through these troubleshooting steps.

Or, it could be that you're looking at Story View
If you double-click your blank slide, that will open up the slide editor view, and you should be able to use the Insert tab.
