I am wondering whether it is possible to insert a formula on a slide, that will calculate the Body Mass Index automatically when the user fills in the body weight and length.
I am sure it would be possible, I just cannot figure out how to do the calculation.
BMI Calculation: [150 ÷ (65)2] x 703 = 24.96
where
Weight = 150 lbs, Height = 5'5" (65 inches)
The "703" is just a conversion factor.
Sure this could be done by collecting 2 x variables, and perhaps a bit of Javascript to do the "squaring" and the multiplication, just can't spend more time on it at the moment. Perhaps someone else can help cracking this one?

Here is a calculation using metres and kilograms, would be easy to re purpose even add a converter between the two

Thanks Phil! This is great!
I wondered how you would figure that one out!
Having a good holiday

Yes, that one took me a way from another project that I cannot get my head round. I keep coming back to it, but I think I lack motivation today
Hello! Is this only something that is possible to do with Storyline, or could Articulate 13/Quizmaker also work?
Cheers
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca! Variables are a functionality of Storyline and not available in Quizmaker.
This post is an oldie but a goodie! Thanks for the post Phil. It helped me with my on-screen formula calculator.
Hi Phil can you send the source file again, the link is not working thanks in advance.
