Inserting PDF into Storyline

May 14, 2018

Hey Everyone,

I can't seem to figure out how to import a PDF into storyline. I can't host the file on a server, so I'm trying to hyperlink to a file. However, the instructions have me confused. The first step says the following:

Select the text or object you want to make clickable, then do any of the following:

Press Ctrl+K.
Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon and click Hyperlink.

Does that mean, open the PDF and click Ctl+K??

And I assume I go to the Insert tab in Articulate?

Either way, I can't figure out how to do it.

Hey guys - sorry I know this thread is a bit old - I've done the above and it works when I hit the story.html file - however I'm uploading to a SCORM and it is not working there.

Is there something different I need to do for SCORM courses? Thanks

When I click it on the LMS this comes up:

but it doesn't appear.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Hi there, Jordan. No apologies necessary, glad you reached out!

Here's a short video of what I'm seeing happen when clicking on the shared link. Does that match what you're seeing?

If you're able to share your .story file with me for testing, that would be gold! You can send it privately to me by using this link. I'll check out the links in another LMS environment like SCORM Cloud, and delete it after troubleshooting!

In the meantime, here's a handy guide on working with hyperlinks!
