I’m fairly new to Storyline and looking for some help.

Attached is a screen shot of a project I’m working on. I need to simulate logging into a live system.

I have figured out how to move onto next slide/layer if the delegates enter the correct username exactly as show (mark1).

However in trials some delegates miss typed the username but was unaware and could not figure out why the presentation was not progressing.

Is there any way that I can make a prompt appear advising that the delegates have entered an incorrect username and to try again.

Any help or advice will be appreciated. I used the tutorials to get as far as I have.

HI Mark and welcome to the fourm!

I've attached a short story file that shows how to do this.

The page checks the userName variable when the Enter key is pressed.

If it is not equal to "mark1" it shows a new layer with the small popup on it stating as such.

If it is equal to "mark1" then it goes to the next slide as you have it.
